The highlight of the calendar, GlassBuild, was bigger than ever this year. As always, it was packed with industry friends, clients and media, and our team was run of their feet in the best way possible. Our cocktail reception on the first day was a huge success, spilling out from the Walker booth and into the aisles. It was an incredible event and testament to the hard work of the NGA events team. Kudos!

OSSTF wins AVFQ award for its use of glass

AVFQ Honours for the OSSTF

In April, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) headquarters project in Toronto received an award at the AVFQ gala for its innovative use of glass. This project was a triumph that took many hands to complete. The result: a building that meets impressive sustainability targets without sacrificing an ounce of aesthetic appeal or occupant comfort.

Great Glazing: Walker Projects Featured in Glass Canada Magazine

Every year, Glass Canada Magazine dedicates a special issue to outstanding glazing in Canadian architectural projects. This year, we were proud to see both the OSSTF and Terrebonne headquarters featured. The two buildings use completely different glass compositions to achieve entirely different goals, showing the versatility of acid etched and bird friendly glass.
