Bottom line, it’s about being human – creating a welcoming atmosphere in which our employees feel at home and extending help and support to the people in our community that are less fortunate.

Walker in the Community
At Walker we focus on community challenges relating to health, education and cultural development. Every year we contribute to over 60 organizations and/or foundations located in the greater Montreal areas.
Through various fund-raising initiatives organized through our HR team, Walker employees contribute to the lives of sick children hoping to realize their dreams. We also support foundations that focus on reading programs for children in disadvantaged areas. And thanks to our employees’ generous donations, families in need have received baskets containing toys, food and everyday life essentials.
The core social theme at Walker has always been around the notion of family. That’s just who we are. As such, we organize lots of events around this theme. This allows everyone to get to know one another in and out of the work place, as well as to enjoy activities that include employee family members.
These events of course change every year, but we’re pretty attentive to what works. We like to choose themes by season: In the spring – sugaring off parties when the maple syrup is running. In the summer – dinner cruises and fireworks, BBQ’s and terrace happy hour gatherings. In the Fall and winter months, you may find us at a pool and bowling event or taking a trip to the Casino! All in good fun, families included.
