Bird Friendly Glass at The Garden Room of the National Aviary
In October 2020 the National Aviary in Pittsburgh unveiled its new bird friendly Garden Room, with glass walls on all sides overlooking the Aviary’s historic Allegheny Commons. The new venue provides a space for public programming, meetings and community events. It also serves as a site to educate visitors about ecological concerns relating to the Aviary’s mission, including bird conservation. With these perspectives in mind, architects Perfido Weiskopf Wagstaff + Goettel (PWWG) selected AviProtek® bird friendly glass and Solarban® Acuity™.
