Environmental Education and Resiliency Center
Hempstead, NY
Hempstead Lake Environmental Education and Resiliency Center is a fine example of environmental management and storm resilience in architecture. The Center aims to raise awareness and educate the community about the surrounding natural environment. Its sustainable features include AviProtek® bird-friendly glass in the doors and windows, to help protect local bird populations. H2M Architects and Engineers designed the project, with glass fabrication by OBE and installation by Future Shock Metal & Glass.
