Meeting all Canadian bird friendly legislation

Canadian eBooks

The Toronto and Canada eBooks of bird friendly glass address the Canadian market. The Toronto Green Standard leads the world in bird deterrent building legislation. Our Toronto eBook helps architects navigate bird friendly strategies along with energy efficiency requirements under the strictest iteration of this standard to date, Toronto Green Standard version 4.

Bird friendly building legislations are appearing across Canada. While each region brings its own approach, municipal and provincial bodies all look to the Canadian Standards Association as the country’s guide to bird deterrent building. The Canada eBook of bird friendly glass contains information on the CSA A460:19 standard for bird-friendly building design, as well as individual standards in cities across the nation.

US eBooks

The first eBook covers New York City. It addresses the city’s bird safe legislation, known as Local Law 15, as well as New York Energy Conservation Code as it relates to glazing. Updates include new requirements for U-factor, SHGC, and VLT.

The second covers the Pacific Coast states (WA, OR, and CA), where we highlight the different bird friendly legislations in cities across the region, as well as energy codes in each state.

The third eBook in the series encompasses bird friendly building legislations across the continental United States, with the exception of New York City and the three Pacific Coast states. It offers a broad overview of best practices for bird safe building, including regional legislations and guidelines from industry leaders like the National Glass Association.
